Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1.
demonstrate specialist and advanced knowledge of the of the nature and scope of international law, including knowledge of its structure, institutions, fundamental doctrines and principles;
2.
use well-developed and autonomous initiative, judgement and advanced research skills to critically analyse, synthesise, evaluate and consolidate legal concepts, values and rules of international law to construct persuasive legal arguments and solutions, applying the technical vocabulary of international law to fact-based problems; and
3.
use advanced cognitive and creative skills to exercise critical thinking and judgement in demonstrating an understanding of the sources of International law.
